Now that cooler evenings have arrived, Pure Rooftop Lounge by Double Tree by Hilton, Al Salata, saw a ‘re-opening’ recently.

“During the day, the swimming pool on the rooftop is open for the hotel guests. By evening, the lounge is turned into a chill-out place with some light music, and at night, it turns into a lounge,” said F&B Manager Hazem El Bahnasy.

The colour theme has been chosen to complement its name ‘Pure’. The lounge with white furniture, with hints of turquoise accessories, a swimming pool in the centre overlooking the Arabian Sea, guarantees you a one-of-a-kind experience. 

“We have the best rooftop view in the city. When we brought the concept of rooftop lounge, it was approved by the hotel’s management in one go. The selling point of our lounge is our well-trained team and choice of music. With our location and view, one can see old Doha on one side and new Doha on the other. With our concept of Pure-Rooftop Lounge, we connect Old and New doha,” said Bahnasy.

“We partnered with three or four DJs before we partnered with DJ Vicky Vanna and the response is amazing,” he said.

DJ Vicky Vanna started her career as a DJ in Ibiza and has worked in Australia and New York before she came to Doha. Her style is varied and she plays Latin, hip hop, RnB, Deep house and funky house.

“With her vast experience in different genres of music and varied styles, we have created nights with different music themes. We are focusing majorly on a number of promotions, music and theme nights to attract more customers to our lounge. When we think about a lounge, ambience and music play the most important role,” he said.

The lounge has very interesting promotions going on for Tuesdays that says ‘Flip a coin’. You challenge the bartender and if you win, you need not to pay. 

Talking about the food, Bahnasy said, “Our guests can choose from the variety of tapas with Asian and European touch. We serve finger food and tapas, which you can have without cutlery and table for rooftop lounge parties but if guests wish to have full meals, we have pizza and sandwiches.”
