Yves Rocher opens first store in Qatar
The French beauty brand Yves Rocher (pronounced as Eve Ro Shay) opened its first boutique store at the Mall of Qatar on Wednesday.
The sought-after French beauty brand is based on the philosophy of natural products, hence, offers a range of products and fragrances composed of natural ingredients for both women and men.
Spread in 40-50 square feet area, the beauty store has a wide façade and colour theme of white and green. It has skin care, body care, hair care, bath and shower products for all skin types, and fragrances on its shelves.
One can pick one's favourite from a range of natural fragrances of raspberry, coconut, lavender, honey and more. The brand will also soon launch its make-up range in Qatar.
The average price of products is between QR50 QR200. The moderately priced brand targets Qatar expatriates from Asia, South Asia and also French speakers.
The fragrance of products is fresh and dewy. The perfume range accommodates everyone's liking with perfumes that smell like candy, some strong and some smell as fresh as flowers.
The brand does a small strip test on your face to determine your skin type before you start choosing products. One strip is placed against your forehead and the second one against your cheek and you wait for 10 seconds. The density of small dots on the strip determines your skin type and you are advised to buy products accordingly.
General Manager Henri-Bernard Bedoin, who was present in Qatar for launch said,"It is my pleasure to come to Qatar from Paris to launch this brand. We really see a good future for our brand here". Talking about brand history, he said,"Sixty, years back, the founder, Yves Rocher, had a vision that was 'Nature is future' and his idea was to integrate plant with beauty products. That's why we call our products botanical beauty products."
On being asked about any special strategy for the Qatar market, he said,"we are laying a great focus on social media marketing in Qatar, and also, we will be expanding in terms of number of stores to capture the market."
Talking about the store size he said,"We prefer to open our stores in 40 ” 50 square feet as customers can experience all our products and not get lost in too many variants in a bigger store format."
