Basic Kitchen Tips for You :)

Today in Indian Spicy Kitchens, I am going to tell you some very basic kitchen tips which help you manage your kitchen in a better way, will save you lots of time and yes, when these tips are added to your innate culinary skill set, you will shine as a five star chef of your home . So let’s get started: 







1. Tip to make your Roti softer: 

Use lukewarm water instead of cold water while kneading your dough. A small trick and you will have softer chapatis on your plate. isn’t it easy and useful?

2. Tip to store your herbs

Wash coriander leaves and curry leaves and leave them to dry. Now Line airtight container with tissue paper, so it absorbs the excess moisture. Now store the leaves and curry leaves in the airtight container in the fridge and the herbs will remain fresh for a long time period. 

3. Peel and Store Garlic
Peel garlic, line your container with tissue , store garlic in airtight container and keep it in fridge. These can be used for a week. It will save your time during cooking. 

4. Tip to enhance daal flavours
Soak daal in water for at least four hours before cooking. This enhances the flavour of the dish. Use the  same water to cook delicious dal.



5. Tip to save time on Soaking Rajma & Chickpeas
 The quick tip is to soak the kidney beans and chickpeas in warm water, it will reduce the time for them to get softer. Also, use the same water to cook the gravy. 

6. Crispy Potato Sabzi
 Peel the potatoes and soak them in cold water for 30-40 minutes and then fry them with Masala and here you get the crispy potatoes. 

7. Use Excess Vegetable Water
If you have any leftover water after boiling vegetables, use that to cook rice. It will offer an added punch of nutrition.

8. Tip to cook non sticky rice
Adding a tsp of ghee or oil to your rice before cooking will make your rice taste yummier and it will also ensure that the rice  don’t stick to one another.

9. Get the exact green of Palak Paneer
The quick tip is to not to cover the lid while cooking Palak Paneer. Covering with lid tuns the gravy brown so you can simply avoid the same and can enjoy some really good green looking palak Paneer.
